The FLINKMAN project "A Stakeholders Linking Framework for Flood Management" is a Civil Protection project (Grant agreement reference n°070401/2009/540443/SUB/A4). FLINKMAN is a 2-year project that started on January, 1^st 2010.

The project’s Coordinating Beneficiary is the Decentralised Administration of Macedonia-Thrace (DAMT), Greece. The project involves five (5) more partners from Greece, Holland, Germany, and France.

Launch of the operation of the European Cluster Unit

The European Cluster Unit is responsible for the provision of coordination and technical support actions to local and regional bodies, from the public and private sector, involved in flood management and civil protection issues. More specifically the aims of the new unit are:.

1. Τhe coordination on items like know how and experience exchange, research and technology transfer, common resources usage etc.
2. Τhe expansion of the cooperation in other geographical areas facing similar potential problems.
